Community Events

Heber-Overgaard Chamber of Commerce is host to many exciting events throughout the year that attracts visitors from all over the Southwest and beyond. Our signature event is a Fourth of July Weekend Celebration that has been a State favorite for decades. Other annual events include Oktoberfest, Trunk or Treat, Winterfest, a visit from the Pony Express, and much more. In addition to theses Chamber of Commerce events many of our Chamber Members are host to other events and activities that take place all year long in the beautiful mountain community of Heber-Overgaard.  Downloadable application forms for many of our events can be found under our Document Page.

*Starting November 16th and continuing every Thursday (Except Holidays) at the Rim Country Community/Senior Center will be hosting FREE BEGINNERS PAINTING LESSONS.  Time is 1pm – 4pm.  (Now extended thru spring and summer!)

*Saturday, September 15th…Meet with candidates and local parties as well as learn about what is on the ballot this year at the White Mountain Rock the Vote Festival.  To be held at the Show Low Festival Marketplace from 3pm to 7pm.  This is a FREE Community Event with Live Music, Food, Door Prizes, & More!

*September 27th – October 25th Northern AZ Council of Governments will be providing classes called “Caregiver Education Series” at the Rim Country Senior & Community Center.

*Tuesday, October 2nd Tuesday’s Talk at the Rim Country Community Center. Guest speaker will from Law Enforcement Officer, John J Lopez from the Forest Service Southwestern Region Law enforcement and Investigations to discuss present and future fire seasons.  Time 9:30 to 10:30 am.

*Tuesday, November 6th, Tuesday’s Talk at the Rim Country Community Center, Guest Speaker will be Outpatient Registered Dietitian, Rebecca Moffat, from Summit Healthcare to discuss diabetes for Diabetes Awareness Month. Time 9;30 to 10:30am


2nd Tuesday of every month – Chamber of Commerce regular meeting at the Rim Country Community/Senior Center.  Refreshment will be served at 5 pm and the meeting begins at 5:30. It is a great opportunity to network, meet new people, and find out what is going on in the community. It is FREE and ALL are welcome. Every Monday – Pine Needlers Quilt Group Meeting. – 10am at the Faith Lutheran Church on Mogollon Drive in Overgaard.

First Tuesday of every month – Tuesday Talk’s at the Rim County Community/Senior Center from 9:30 am to 10:15 am.  Each month a guest speaker will discuss community related items and allow those in attendance to ask question.  It is FREE and ALL are welcome.

Every Tuesday – First Southern Baptist of Overgaard’s Women’s Bible Study @ 9:30am at the Church (In hiatus until February)

Every Tuesday – Support for the Home Caregivers @ Shepherd of the Pines United Methodist Church. Time 3:15pm Location: 3015 Hwy 277 Overgaard, AZ

Every Wednesday – Bingo at the Rim Country Community/Senior Center.  Doors open at 12:30 and Bingo begins at 1pm. $20.00 Buy In.

First and Third Wed. of every month –  Overgaard Ponderosa Lions Club meet at the Sr. Center at 7 am.

Every Wednesday – Mountain Town Artist will be meeting at the H/O Fire Station from 10am to 2pm.  Bring a sack lunch, Your sketchbook or project your working on.

Fourth Wednesday of every month – Agave House Chapter, AZ Archaeological Society of Heber Overgaard-Chapter meets at the Black Mesa Ranger Station at 6:30 pm.

Every Thursday ( Except Holidays) Free Beginners Painting Lessons at the Rim Country Community Center. 1pm to 4pm.

Second Friday of every month. – “The Rockin Readers” Book Club meets in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Rim Community Library at 10:30 am. New members are always welcome.

Last Friday of every month – Memoirs/Creative Writing Group. 10:30 AM in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Rim Community Library. New members are welcomed.
