Community Events

Heber-Overgaard Chamber of Commerce is host to many exciting events throughout the year that attract visitors from all over Arizona and beyond. The Chamber of Commerce’s signature event is the 4th of July Weekend Celebration, which has been a State favorite for decades. Our other annual events include Oktoberfest, Trunk or Treat, Winterfest, and a visit from the Pony Express. In addition to theses Chamber of Commerce events many of our Chamber Members are host to great events and activities that show case are beautiful mountain community of Heber-Overgaard.  Downloadable application forms for many of our events can be found under our Document Tab Above.

Every 1st & 3rd Friday through mid September,  The Pinecrest Lake RV Resort will be hosting The Rim Country Band. They are located at 2721 Pony Express Road, Overgaard and this event is BYOB and FREE to the Public. 


* Every Tuesday Zane Grey Club House with Live Music 1pm -3:30pm, Last performance for 2019 will be on Tuesday October 8th.


*Thursday, September 19th Zane Grey Community Center invites all Heber-Overgaard area retirees and retired visitors to their center for an information presentation from MASA that will include a Free Buffet. They provide medical emergency transportation solutions and peace of mind by eliminating the financial burden that follows unexpected health emergencies. Please call their reservation line at 1-800-263-5095 at least 24 hours prior.

*Friday, October 18th The Heber-Overgaard Fire Department is hosting a “Drive Thru Flu Shot Clinic” from 8am to 11pm.  They are located at 2061 Lumber Valley Road, Overgaard.

*Trunk or Treat – Saturday, October 26th, 2019, @ Tall Timbers Park from 5pm to 7pm, A FREE event sponsored by the Heber-Overgaard Chamber of Commerce.  To participate you will only need to come to the park prior to the event to set up your truck or popup. Please note power is very limited and on a first come basis.


*The next National Prescription Drug Take Back Day will be October 26, 2019. National Take-Back Day is a safe, convenient, and responsible way to dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs.  Please check your home for EXPIRED, UNUSED medication and take to the nearest police station or Summit Healthcare on Oct 26th.

*Winterfest Festival – Saturday, Nov. 30th, 2019 @ Tall Timbers Park. 5 pm to 7 pm. A FREE EVENT FOR OUR COMMUNITY, will include free hot dogs, hot chocolate and a marshmallow roast and pictures with Santa Clause!

Second Tuesday  Chamber of Commerce meets at the Rim Country Community/Senior Center.  Time is 5pm to 7pm. It is a great opportunity to network, meet new people, and find out what is going on in the community. It is FREE and ALL are welcome. Every Monday –

  • Pine Needlers Quilt Group Meeting. – 10am at the Faith Lutheran Church on Mogollon Drive in Overgaard.
  • 4:30 t 6:30 Line Dancing at the Rim Country Community Center.  Beginners 4:30 to 5:30, Intermediate 5:30 to 6:30

First Tuesday  – Tuesday Talk’s at the Rim County Community/Senior Center from 9:30 am to 10:15 am.  Each month a guest speaker will discuss community related items and allow those in attendance to ask question.  It is FREE and ALL are welcome.

Second Tuesday – H-O Unified School District Board Meeting at 7pm at Capps Middle School in the Performing Arts Center.

Third Tuesday  –  6 pm Fire Board meeting at the Heber-Overgaard Fire Station. Open to the public. 

Every Tuesday –

  • First Southern Baptist of Overgaard’s Women’s Bible Study @ 9:30am at the Church
  • Zane Grey Club House with Live Music 1pm -3:30pm

  • Mountain Town Artist will be meeting at the H/O Fire Station from 10am to 2pm.  Bring a sack lunch, Your sketchbook or project your working on.

Every Thursday –

  • TOPS weight loss support group for all at the Rim Community Library.
  • Zane Grey Club House 6pm-8-pm—–1st Thursday Open Mic, 2nd Karaoke, 3rd, Game Night, 4th Movie Night and if a 5th Thursday is in the month Live Music.

Second Friday  – “The Rock ‘in Readers” Book Club meets in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Rim Community Library at 10:30 am. New members are always welcome.

Last Friday  – Memoirs/Creative Writing Group. 10:30 AM in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Rim Community Library. New members are welcomed.

Third Saturday – Zane Grey Club House will have a Fundraiser Meal with Live Music 4pm to 6pm.

Hashknife Pony Express – February 2nd from 10am to 12pm Meet and Greet at the Heber-Overgaard Chamber of Commerce. Then on Wednesday February 6th the Riders will pick up mail and ride thru Heber-Overgaard.

4th of July Festival –  July 6th & 7th, 2019 @ Tall Timbers Park –  Hours of Event will be Saturday, July 6th from 11am – 5 pm & Sunday, July 7th from 11am to 3pm

Oktoberfest Festival – September 28th & 29th, 2019 @Tall Timbers Park –  Hours of the Event will be Saturday, Sept. 28th from 11am to 5pm & Sunday, Sept. 29th from 11am to 3pm
