Community Events

Heber-Overgaard Chamber of Commerce is host to many exciting events throughout the year that attracts visitors from all over the Southwest and beyond. Our signature event is a Fourth of July Weekend Celebration that has been a State favorite for decades. Other annual events include Oktoberfest, Trunk or Treat, Winterfest, a visit from the Pony Express, and much more. In addition to theses Chamber of Commerce events many of our Chamber Members are host to other events and activities that take place all year long in the beautiful mountain community of Heber-Overgaard.  Downloadable application forms for many of our events can be found under our Document Page.

*Saturday, June 30th Pinecrest Lake RV Park is having their Arts & Crafts Sale from 9am to 1pm.  There will be Food & Beverages available.  They are located at 2721 Pony Express Road, Overgaard AZ.

*Saturday, June 30th at Pinecrest Lake RV Park located at 2721 Pony Express Rd, Overgaard AZ —— Highway 277 Band will be performing from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. *July 2nd – 6th, 2018 GET YOUR GAME ON….. at VBS! First Southern Baptist Church of Overgaard Vacation Bible School. Pre-School thru 6th Grade are welcome and an Adult Community Class will be available…TBA. Classes will be from 9am to 12pm.

*Tuesday, July 3rd Tuesday’s Talk at the Rim Country Community Center.  Guest speaker will be Community and Corporate Learning Specialist, Katharine Olsen from the Northland Pioneer College. Time 9:30am to 10:30am

*Saturday July 7th and Sunday July 8th, 2018…….4th of July Festival sponsored by the Heber-Overgaard Chamber of Commerce.  This years event will include a Parade (NO WET ZONE OR WET THEMED FLOATS PLEASE) a two day event at the Tall Timbers Park (off of Hwy 260) with Food, Arts & Crafts Vendors, Live Music and Beer Garden!…..more information to come.

*Friday, July 13th Shepherd of the Pines United Methodist Church will sponsor their Women’s Luncheon from 12 to 2pm. They are located at 3015 Hwy 277, Overgaard AZ.  Donations for this event will benefit our community and the theme for this years event will be “Music from the Heart”… more information to come.

*Saturday, July 14th our Local EAA Chapter 1044 is sponsoring their Breakfast Fly-In! This event will be at Mogollon Airpark from 7am to 11am. Funds raised at this event will support the Youth Aviation Education Programs.

*Tuesday, August 7th Tuesday’s Talk at the Rim Country Community Center. Guest speaker will be a representative from the Heber-Overgaard Fire Department. Time will be from 9:30am to 10:30am.

*Tuesday, December 5th, Tuesday’s Talk at the Rim Country Community Center, Guest speaker will be from the Arizona Department of Transportation.

Monthly

2nd Tuesday of every month – Chamber of Commerce regular meeting at the Rim Country Community/Senior Center.  Refreshment will be served at 5 pm and the meeting begins at 5:30. It is a great opportunity to network, meet new people, and find out what is going on in the community. It is FREE and ALL are welcome. Every Monday – Pine Needlers Quilt Group Meeting. – 10am at the Faith Lutheran Church on Mogollon Drive in Overgaard.

First Tuesday of every month – Tuesday Talk’s at the Rim County Community/Senior Center from 9:30 am to 10:15 am.  Each month a guest speaker will discuss community related items and allow those in attendance to ask question.  It is FREE and ALL are welcome.

Every Tuesday – First Southern Baptist of Overgaard’s Women’s Bible Study @ 9:30am at the Church (In hiatus until February)

Every Tuesday – Support for the Home Caregivers @ Shepherd of the Pines United Methodist Church. Time 3:15pm Location: 3015 Hwy 277 Overgaard, AZ

First and Third Wed. of every month –  Overgaard Ponderosa Lions Club meet at the Sr. Center at 7 am.

Every Wednesday – Mountain Town Artist will be meeting at the H/O Fire Station from 10am to 2pm.  Bring a sack lunch, Your sketchbook or project your working on.

Fourth Wednesday of every month – Agave House Chapter, AZ Archaeological Society of Heber Overgaard-Chapter meets at the Black Mesa Ranger Station at 6:30 pm.

Every Thursday ( Except Holidays) Free Beginners Painting Lessons at the Rim Country Community Center. 1pm to 4pm.

Second Friday of every month. – “The Rockin Readers” Book Club meets in the Multi-Purpose Room of the Rim Community Library at 10:30 am. New members are always welcome.

Last Friday of every month – Memoirs/Creative Writing Group. 10:30 AM in the Multi-Purpose Room at the Rim Community Library. New members are welcomed.
